They provide an excellent aesthetic appearance thanks to their light transmittance. It consists of adhering the porcelain structure prepared specially for the patient in the desired colour and form in the thickness of the fingernail to the tooth with special techniques. Since the thickness of this structure is approximately 0.7 mm, it is necessary to make an abrasion of at least 0.5 mm only on the front surface of the tooth to be applied.
It is used for openings in the front teeth, fractures, stubborn discolouration that does not lighten with teeth whitening, and mild crowding.
It is not applied to those who have habits such as bite of nails or pencils, excessive teeth grinding, nail biting or pen biting and those with advanced gum disease.
It requires a very sensitive clinical and technical work. The form of the teeth can be seen together with the patient on a wax template prepared in advance and the details can be decided. It is finalised in about a week.
If it is applied to a correct case, it can serve for many years with good care and careful use.
